Elliott, along with friends and family, surprised Buckner at Parkway School after she was named Principal of the Year.
BOONE — Parkway School Principal Patty Buckner was named Watauga County Schools 2020-21 Principal of the Year March 5. Buckner was presented the award by a group of family, peers and WCS staff in a surprise visit to her school.
Buckner, who has served as the principal of Parkway since 2017, said she was honored to have been recognized by her fellow principals across Watauga County Schools for the award.
