2023 Doctoral Symposium is Thursday, November 9, and Friday, November 10

The Reich College of Education’s (RCOE) Doctoral Program in Education Leadership will host the 2023 Doctoral Symposium online on Thursday, November 9, and Friday, November 10.

Sponsored by the Wallace ECPI Grant, this year's symposium focuses on the theme of Pedagogy, Policy, and Equity in Perilous Times. Our presenters will share their insights on the challenges and possibilities of advancing equity-oriented work in a time of heightened uncertainty and unease in public education. Dr. Dudley Flood, an educator and champion of school integration in North Carolina, is this year's keynote speaker. The 2023 Alice Phobe Naylor Dissertation Award will be presented on Friday. For full descriptions, please review the online event schedule.

Each year, the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership organizes an annual symposium to explore contemporary educational issues and showcase doctoral student research.  The symposium provides a space for the doctoral community to engage in dialogue and deepen the work as scholarly practitioners.
