Impacting Education in Her Community

Byrd is making an impact on education in her community through Project Empower, a technology training initiative that introduces technology that can be used in the classroom to allow for different learning opportunities for students as well as different ways students can present what they learned.

“I am also involved in an after-school robot club for the second year,” she added. “We are working on coding and learning that robots can be programmed to complete many different tasks in the real world. This club can show students different opportunities they could pursue as a career.”
