In collaboration with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, the Reich College of Education (RCOE) is hosting “A Discussion with P-12 Education Leaders Featuring the AppAdvisory Board”.

The event will feature Julie Pittman, Special Advisor on Teacher Engagement and the 2018 Burroughs Wellcome Fund Western Region North Carolina Teacher of the Year, and Freebird McKinney, Director of Government and Community Affairs and 2018 Burroughs Wellcome Fund North Carolina Teacher of the Year, and the RCOE’s AppAdvisory Board as they discuss their educational experiences and relevant topics related to education policy here in the state. Panelists will provide background on their careers in education while also discussing how partnerships and teacher education preparation impact educators at all levels.
Current education majors, alumni, faculty, staff, and educators are invited to attend. The format of the event will be a panel discussion.
