Luke Turner Named Media Specialist for Reich College of Education Digital Resource Learning Media Lab

Luke Turner ’97 has been named Media Specialist for Appalachian State University’s Reich College of Education’s (RCOE) Digital Resource Learning Media Lab (DLR). His appointment began in March 2020.

Turner supports faculty, staff, and students with media projects and assists with the DLR checkout center, located on the first floor of the RCOE. 

Turner earned a B.S. in political science, with a concentration in public relations and a minor in photography. 

Prior to this role, Turner worked for FedEx Express. He has also worked in a variety of areas across campus, including at the Holmes Convocation Center, App Catering and the University Bookstore 

Interesting Fact: Turner regularly works the annual Merlefest event. “I enjoy music and meeting new people,” he said.

When asked why Appalachian, Turner said, “I am a Boone native; App State is home.”

The DLR Checkout Center provides equipment needs to the RCOE community and our workshops and online tutorials help the community to use that equipment effectively.
