Michelle Hoag has joined the Office of the Dean in the Reich College of Education (RCOE) at Appalachian State University as an Administrative Support Specialist.
In her role with the RCOE, Hoag will provide administrative support to Associate Dean Monica Lambert, conduct background checks, and manage the licensure process for teacher programs outside of RCOE and graduate programs.
Previously, Hoag worked for 14 years with North Carolina Housing Finance as a Foreclosure Prevention Program Administrator.
When asked why she chose Appalachian State, Hoag said, “My daughter is an alumna of the RCOE, and she pursued her dream of being an educator. Going to Appalachian was the best decision she made, and I am here to support others in making their dreams as educators come true.”
“2020 has been a challenging year,” said Hoag. “I am hoping this coming year brings health and wellness to our country so that our children can return to their schools and their teachers can utilize their talents and skills learned here at the university.”
Hoag loves to cook and spend time with her family.
