“As a North Carolina Teaching Fellow at Appalachian State University, I’ve had the invaluable opportunity to build meaningful relationships within a passionate community of future educators. I chose this program because it fosters strong connections — with fellow students, experienced mentors, and dedicated faculty — creating a powerful network of support and collaboration.

These relationships have deepened my commitment to teaching and highlighted the importance of working together to create positive and effective learning environments. Being part of this program has truly strengthened my identity as an educator. I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and highly recommend the App State Teaching Fellows program to anyone seeking a strong sense of community and purpose in their teaching journey.”
