The Reich College of Education (RCOE) Office of the Dean is beginning a new initiative: Lunch & Learn. The intent of this program is to increase communication with faculty and staff across all teacher education programs. Each Lunch & Learn will feature a different topic or focus.
“It's pretty simple -- you bring your lunch and come learn about what's happening in teacher education,” said Director of Clinical Education, Dr. Hannah Reeder.
Reeder is assisting with the planning and implementation of the series.
The first Lunch & Learn will be on Tuesday, November 19 at 12:00 p.m. in RCOE 124A. The topic will be criminal background checks and internship placements. The Office of Field Experiences (OFE) will share ideas that could reduce the amount of time to place interns in schools. OFE will be sharing their proposal and eliciting feedback from the group.
If you plan to attend this first Lunch & Learn, then please RSVP here. Anyone in teacher education is welcomed and encouraged to attend.
Spring dates and topics will be announced at the beginning of the spring semester. If you would like to propose a topic, please contact Dr. Hannah Reeder, reederhs@appstate.edu.
