“Mr. MacDonald…hey, Mr. MacDonald, can I…?” Hold on a second.

Mr. MacDonald?

Oh, wait. That must be me.

As a student of Appalachian State University education has clearly been my number 1 priority as should any college students. But by having the opportunity to be a student in the Reich College of Education I feel that I am even more prepared than most college students to become a phenomenal and effective teacher once I graduate. Reich College of Education has some of the most qualified and most supportive professors there are and provides their students with opportunities to have as much practice and knowledge before entering the field of teaching.

My Road to Becoming a Teacher

I am a junior who is pursuing a degree in elementary education.  One of the best decisions I have ever made was my decision to come to Appalachian State University.  I am so blessed and fortunate to attend this university, and the Reich College of Education does a phenomenal job of preparing their students for a future career in education.

My time at Appalachian State has been nothing short of extraordinary. Appalachian State University and the Reich College of Education have been phenomenal in preparing me to be a future teacher and I cannot believe that I am just a year away from graduating. My classes, the professors I have gotten the privilege to know personally, the experiences I have had, have all contributed to the teaching philosophy I have begun to develop during my time at Appalachian State and will continue to develop as a beginning teacher.
