Appalachian State University has a new, university-wide scholarship application and awarding system, bringing hopes to make easy the process of earning financial support.
Students can access the system at appstate.academicworks.com or under the student tab in AppalNet. The new system will auto-match student applications to scholarship opportunities based on information provided in the application, as well as information from Banner, the university's system of record. A committee will review appropriate applications and contact finalists by email.
Continuing undergraduate students are encouraged to apply now for 2021-2022 scholarships. Students will complete a general university scholarship application, and teacher education majors will be invited to complete a short Reich College of Education application.
Apply
The scholarship application will remain open through February 15.
Important notes
To increase your chances of being selected for a scholarship award, complete a FAFSA -- Free Application for Federal Student Aid -- as early as possible. A FAFSA is required to determine financial need, and many business scholarships at Appalachian have a need criterion. Students without a FAFSA on file will not be considered for need-based scholarships.
Graduate program scholarships require a separate process. Contact the graduate program director and/or department for information about graduate scholarships.
