Dr. Abigail Ferris is an Assistant Professor of Literacy Education in the Department of Child Development, Literacy, and Special Education. She completed a Ph.D. in Literacy at the University at Albany.
Prior to her studies, she worked as an early childhood and upper-elementary teacher. She taught early intervention, special education, and general education.
Dr. Ferris's research interests include literacy policy, early literacy intervention, and pre- and in-service literacy teacher education. She is a member of the Literacy Research Association (LRA) and the International Literacy Association (ILA).
