Beth Sibley earned a BSW from James Madison University and an MSW from the University of South Carolina. She has extensive experience in case management across mental health, health care, and child welfare settings, and her background in social work aligns well with SDAP’s person-centered planning approach. She also brings valuable experience in educational settings, having worked with high school students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Beth has worked at Appalachian State University since 2016 as an adjunct instructor in the Social Work, Recreation Management, and Physical Education departments. During that time, she became a go-to instructor for SDAP students, particularly through her popular weight-training and PE courses. In the community, she has led group fitness classes for athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities. As a full-time member of the SDAP team, Beth continues to support students in their health and wellness journeys, helping them build sustainable nutrition and exercise habits to carry forward after the program.

In her free time, Beth enjoys family movie nights with her husband and two children and coaching group fitness classes in the Boone community.
