Emma Hatfield Sidden serves as the Director of Clinical Education at Appalachian State University’s Reich College of Education, where she oversees early field experiences and student teaching placements. A two-time graduate of Appalachian State University, she is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership. Emma is passionate about developing and strengthening partnerships with schools and districts to ensure high-quality clinical preparation and meaningful experiences for teacher candidates. She is also deeply committed to educational innovation, leading initiatives that reimagine field experiences, integrate alternative learning opportunities, and pilot creative solutions that better prepare future teachers for the complexities of today’s classrooms.
