Micah Riggins earned her Bachelor of Science in Child Development - Family and Child Studies from Appalachian State University, where her passion for education began. 

Post-graduation, Micah spent a couple of years in the classroom teaching children ranging from infancy through preschool before returning to the Reich College of Education as a staff member. Micah supported the Office of the Dean and the college community as an Administrative Support Specialist and lead receptionist before moving into the Department of Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum, where she currently serves as the Administrative Support Specialist for Student Support. 

In Micah’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family. She loves being outdoors, going on walks, while also being a homebody where you can find her with a cup of coffee, watching a cozy show, or reading a book.
