In the wake of the historic and devastating storm, Appalachian State University students, faculty, staff and alumni stepped up to help those in need — both on and off campus, and during and after the disaster. From rescues to relief to recovery, Mountaineers have been a part of every stage of the hurricane response.
Many of the college’s faculty, staff, students, and alumni made tremendous efforts during the response to Hurricane Helene. Their actions exemplify the very values we teach—compassion, commitment, and the power of education to uplift during difficult times.
